Trump says Iran war "close to over" amid hopes for more negotiations
Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Building & Construction, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS), which rose 3.97% or 0.92 points to trade at 24.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Amadeus IT (BME:AMA) added 3.73% or 1.86 points to end at 51.68 and Indra A (BME:IDR) was up 2.46% or 1.28 points to 53.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Repsol (BME:REP), which fell 2.75% or 0.58 points to trade at 20.52 at the close. Fluidra (BME:FLUI) declined 2.37% or 0.50 points to end at 20.60 and Ferrovial (BME:FER) was down 1.73% or 1.06 points to 60.16.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 101 to 86 and 23 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.44% or 21.51 to $4,828.59 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.92% or 0.84 to hit $92.12 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.98% or 0.93 to trade at $95.72 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.18, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 97.85.
