China GDP grows 5% in Q1, beats expectations on exports, spending strength
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Sports and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.61% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS:PASEU), which rose 10.00% or 9.70 points to trade at 106.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Destek Finans Faktoring As (IS:DSTKF) added 10.00% or 54.50 points to end at 599.50 and Can2 Termik AS (IS:CANTE) was up 9.91% or 0.23 points to 2.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Margun Enerji Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAGEN), which fell 7.67% or 3.94 points to trade at 47.46 at the close. Tureks Turizm Tasimacilik AS (IS:TUREX) declined 7.02% or 0.77 points to end at 10.20 and Grainturk Holding AS (IS:GRTHO) was down 5.28% or 26.75 points to 479.75.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 432 to 151 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS:PASEU) rose to all time highs; gaining 10.00% or 9.70 to 106.70. Shares in Can2 Termik AS (IS:CANTE) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.91% or 0.23 to 2.55.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.09% or 3.00 to $3,385.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.51% or 0.32 to hit $63.03 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.52% or 0.35 to trade at $67.19 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.06% to 40.94, while EUR/TRY fell 0.08% to 47.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 98.44.
