Asia stocks climb tracking Wall St rally; Nikkei hits record high, China GDP beats
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Leasing & Factoring and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 2.13%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Altinay Savunma Teknolojileri AS (IS:ALTNY), which rose 10.00% or 7.00 points to trade at 77.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grainturk Holding AS (IS:GRTHO) added 9.94% or 34.75 points to end at 384.50 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 5.93% or 0.28 points to 5.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ral Yatirim Holding AS (IS:RALYH), which fell 7.34% or 7.80 points to trade at 98.50 at the close. Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) declined 4.28% or 0.32 points to end at 7.16 and EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) was down 1.84% or 0.88 points to 46.84.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 520 to 62 and 9 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.61% or 20.55 to $3,397.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.29% or 0.82 to hit $62.59 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.49% or 0.98 to trade at $64.65 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.03% to 39.13, while EUR/TRY rose 0.71% to 44.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 98.75.
